In the exhibition Starstruck: Australian Movie Portraits at the National Portrait Gallery Nov 11 2017 to March 12 2018, Australian actress Annette Kellerman appears in the c.1917-19 scrapbooks of Vera James. Kellerman was already a big Hollywood star – the scrapbook features clippings from Kellerman’s film A Daughter of the Gods,’ and the young Vera James would go on to a career in Australian film in the 1920s.
