EXPLODED VISIONS: CINEMA ‘68 - 50 years on.
WED 11 APR to WED 18 APR  2018

Season pass – 5 films for $40/$35

The year 1968 saw shockwaves of political upheaval around the world. The infamous May riots in Paris, the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, key flashpoints of student movement protests in the US, the beginning of the’ Prague Spring’- just to name just a few. The turbulent climate also sparked -both directly and indirectly - a series of cinematic revolutions, which produced many exceptional works in both art-house and mainstream cinema. This season samples a broad range of these angry gems, for a 50th birthday party unlike any other.
