A drama set in the isolated, mining town of Newman in northwest Australia, where men outnumber women fifty to one and the human flashpoint is set low. A new miner, David, is attracted to the young wife of his older boss, Foxxy, whose jealousy is renowned amongst the locals. This beautifully shot film builds up to a tense climax during the detonation of a large scale explosion at the mine. A study in loneliness, mateship and man's search for meaning, in the dramatic setting of Western Australia's mining boom of the 1970s.
