From famed director Lasse Hallstrom (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993) and Chocolat (2000)) comes a romantic 18th Century romp loosely based on the adventures of legendary Venetian adventurer and author, Giacomo Casanova. Heath Ledger plays the charismatic charmer who unexpectedly falls in love with Sienna Miller’s fiery Francesca, author of illegal feminist writings and staunch enemy of the ill-reputed Casanova.
