1979, 21 Minutes
Our heritage is something in which we can all share. Using footage from every Australian state, The Things We Want to Keep reveals the richness and diversity of Australia’ national heritage - from flora and fauna to historic buildings (including hotels, hop and pottery kilns), paddle steamers and Aboriginal traditional sites.
Ways are suggested to show how everyone can assist in taking care of our priceless geographical and cultural assets and thus strengthen our sense of national identity. This film offers a practical and responsible approach to conservation action and highlights some of the building restoration work that has already taken place.
