1989, 90 Minutes
Tells the story of an ordinary family coming to terms with the birth of a brain damaged child - the result of medical malpractice.
This emotional docu-drama follows the case of Coral and Doug Davis who sue a young doctor for malpractice after their baby suffers brain damage as a result of the doctor’s handling of complications at his birth. The midwife knew exactly what to do but the doctor disagreed.
Actors combine with hospital staff and members of the legal profession to create a dramatic and moving presentation of a nightmare time for both family and doctor as the truth is sought before a medical tribunal, who must decide if it is a case of malpractice. It is necessary for all involved to come to terms with the truth.
